Town Planner, Town of WiscassetThe Town of Wiscasset has an opportunity for a Town Planner. This is an important professional position responsible for a variety of current planning projects. Work involves independently managing projects with significant public input and serving as project lead for, zoning and comp plan updates. This position works closely with and prepares reports for developers, Town departments, public agencies, and the public while ensuring long-range policies, goals, and programs are implemented through development activity. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Urban Affairs, Natural Resource Planning, Public Administration or closely related field and at least three years related experience in municipal planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience, computer skills, grant management skills and a working knowledge of land/business development. Hiring range: $42,000-$45,000 annualized, plus benefits package.
